Dance Classes Weekly

In September, Otero Arts is hosting a Plein Air Exhibition at the Otero Artspace that includes work by Anne Aleshire, Janet Amtmann, Lyn Canham, Rand Carlson, Deidre Kindthistle, Julie Ford Oliver, Sue Nichols, and Diana Powell. Their paintings were painted on site in Bent, Tularosa Falls, High Rolls, Alamogordo, La Luz, White Sands National Park, Nichols Ranch, and the Alamogordo Zoo. The media represented in the show are acrylic, oil, watercolor, pastel and gouache.

Plein air painting is a portrait of the landscape in natural light, a genre developed by painters in the 1800’s who left their dark studios taking their easels and tubes of paint outdoors.

Baroque Chamber Tickets

On October 17, 2026 at 7:00 PM, Otero Arts will present Cruzando Fronteras, a Baroque ensemble featuring Gerard Gibbs (flauto dolce), Stephen Redfield and Carla Moore (Baroque violins), Katie Reitman (Baroque cello), and Charlotte Mattax Moersch (harpsichord). Through works by Bach, Scarlatti, Handel, and Vivaldi, the program explores cultural exchange in Baroque Europe while providing audiences with a historically informed performance experience. Your ticket price also supports an educational program plus a concert at Chaparral Middle School in Alamogordo.
